We all need to trust in the wisdom of God. Pray to God for grace and peace. As Richard J. Foster states in “Prayer”, “… the very thing we release is sometimes returned to us. Why would God take us through such a roller coaster process?”

I try to fight the losses that are mounting. I fight to stay above water, and it effects my psyche, my wife, and others closest to me. I pray to God for an answer, but I do not hear Him. Am I doing something he disagrees with, a sin I am not being honest with Him or myself about?

Maybe I am fighting God by not submitting to his will. Maybe he wants me to relinquish all of it to Him because everything else is my god before Him.

Again, I think Foster nails it. “… we hold on so tightly to the good that we do know that we cannot receive the greater good that we do not know. God has to help us let go of tiny vision in order to release the greater good he has in store for us.”

Maybe I am fighting for all that I want to hold onto, but God wants me to give it up because he has a much better plan and bigger vision for me. How do I know? Faith is what I have. Let me hear your voice. Give me clarity Lord.
